Project-Based Risk Management Consulting for Stronger, Safer Programs
Some needs are best handled as focused projects: staff training before a busy season, an independent program review, a crisis plan that needs to be tested, or a protocol that no longer reflects how your team operates.
Cornerstone provides project-based consulting with a clear scope, defined deliverables, and a specific endpoint. Consulting is available with no membership requirement.
What Consulting Is
Every consulting engagement begins with a specific question, goal, or challenge. Together, we define the work, timeline, deliverables, and intended outcome.
Projects are delivered by the same physicians, mental health professionals, and risk management practitioners who support our members. The work is tailored to your organization's culture, program model, operating environment, and existing resources.
Some organizations engage us for a single project. Others begin with consulting and move into membership when they want an ongoing relationship. We focus on your needs and budgets.

The Team Behind Cornerstone
Cornerstone's integrated team includes physicians, mental health professionals, and risk management practitioners with more than 150 years of cumulative experience specific to the travel, experiential, adventure, and camp industries.
We understand the realities of remote locations, seasonal teams, changing operating environments, limited local resources, and decisions that must be made quickly. Our guidance is grounded in what leaders and staff can realistically do – not simply what looks good on paper.
What Members Say
I think the most effective part of training was the opportunity to practice the theory in real-time. Mike created dedicated spaces for us to apply what we learned right away, which made the content much more memorable and meaningful. The hands-on practice was definitely a highlight.

Common Questions
-
No. Consulting is available to any organization, and no membership is required. Some member organizations first came to us for a single project.
-
Every project begins with a conversation. We define the scope, deliverables, responsibilities, and timing before providing a proposal. Pricing depends on the complexity of the work, the advisors involved, and the depth of training, review, or facilitation required.
-
Projects are delivered by Cornerstone's physicians, mental health professionals, risk management practitioners, and other subject-matter experts. We match the project with the advisors best suited to the organization and its needs.
-
No. Our advisors provide organizational guidance, training, protocols, and decision support. We do not diagnose or treat individuals, provide therapy or counseling, or establish a physician-patient or therapist-client relationship.
-
Our 24/7 support is only available through Cornerstone membership rather than as a stand-alone consulting deliverable.
-
As early as possible. Training, comprehensive reviews, and facilitated exercises require time to understand your organization, review materials, and tailor the work. If your need is time-sensitive, contact us and we will provide a realistic assessment of what can be completed.
-
You do not need to arrive with a completed scope. Bring us the challenge you are working through or download our Confidence Checklist to self-evaluate your existing systems. We can help determine whether a focused consulting project, ongoing membership, or another resource is the most appropriate next step.
You Don't Have to Do This Alone
Our work matters. Bring us the challenge you are ready to address. Together, we can build practical systems that protect people, strengthen teams, and help your organization continue doing meaningful work with greater clarity and confidence.
