Dave Dennis is the Founder and Executive Director of Cornerstone Safety Group, where he supports travel organizations, schools, camps, and experiential education providers in building stronger safety systems and responding effectively to complex incidents.
He holds a Master’s degree in Risk Management and brings over 30 years of experience in domestic and international travel operations. Dave has advised more than 100 organizations on risk management strategy, crisis response, and policy development.
Dave serves on the Board of Directors for the Gap Year Association and co-chairs its Standards & Accreditation Committee. He is also the chair of the Health & Safety Committee for the Student & Youth Travel Association (SYTA).
Before founding Cornerstone, Dave worked as a guide, Operations Manager, and later Vice President across the adult travel, study abroad, and student travel sectors. Throughout his career, he has responded to thousands of incidents across the full spectrum of severity and is widely relied upon as an industry expert, mentor, and conference speaker.
